But ‘can he grow mutton chops?’ the ‘X-Men’ star wonders about the typically hairless ‘Eclipse’ star.

Taylor Lautner already plays one of the most recognizable onscreen characters as werewolf Jacob Black in the teen hysteria-inducing “Twilight” flicks. But another star thinks Lautner should put his ripped physique to good use in another role. “Wolverine” star Hugh Jackman says Lautner could convincingly don a pair of claws as a teen Wolverine in next year’s “X-Men: First Class.”
“My only question is: Can he grow mutton chops?” Jackman wondered to EOnline’s Marc Malkin. But then, remembering the droves of girls around the world enamored with the considerably less hirsute Jacob, Jackman reconsidered the idea of a woolly Lautner.
“Actually, I think people would probably prefer him as a hairless Wolverine than a rather hairy-chested version. Certainly about a billion young girls would,” Jackman observed.
Although he’s got a co-sign from the star of the “Wolverine” franchise, Lautner’s not pressed for work. The young heartthrob has some other flicks lined up, including the thriller “Abduction,” which recently started production and stars Lautner as a teen who gets entangled in a web of espionage after seeking out his birth parents. And while he might not be shredding foes as Wolverine anytime soon, the “Twilight” hunk is also slated for a superhero flick in the title role of the upcoming “Stretch Armstrong.” Lautner hasn’t mentioned sprouting heaps of hair for a film, but he has expressed his willingness to transform physically, even abandoning his muscular bod, for the right part.

Who’d win in an arm wrestle tournament between you, Robert Pattinson and Zac Efron?
“Bring it on! Can I use two hands? I reckon I could hold my own then. I could get R-Patz maybe but then he’d just bite the crap out of my hand!”

With a fandom as large as “The Twilight Saga’s,” it’s really hard for the mainstream media to conduct interviews that do the fans proud. Thus why Stephenie Meyer went the J.K. Rowling route back in May when she decided to invite four “Twilight” fansites to L.A. to ask her the in-depth, specific questions the fans wanted answered that would probably never get asked otherwise.

The four-hour interview was conducted June 18, and bits and pieces of it have been released from the sites ever since.

The latest comes to us from TwiFans, who posted the part of the interview in which Stephenie talks about the choice to be named as a producer on “Breaking Dawn.” It’s interesting hearing what Stephenie had to say about it, especially when she said she wasn’t sure if she wanted “Breaking Dawn” to be adapted into film.

“‘Breaking Dawn’ is tricky. It’s real tricky,” Stephenie said. “Now, I feel like we have more of a handle on it. Because the script and with Bill Condon. I am more calm, but originally, I was very much on the fence. Maybe we shouldn’t make this into a movie, ya know. Some things can’t be made into a movie and come across exactly the right way. So it was a big struggle for me to go forward.”

This could explain part of why it took so long for Summit to make any announcements about “Breaking Dawn,” because it seems like it took them a while to get Stephenie on board (we had our own reservations about the film as well). Read the rest of this entry »

Originally, it was reported that there would be no special The Twilight Saga: Eclipse panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, and while it is still true that there’ll be no formal panel, there will be a special three-person autograph signing session with stars from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Bronson Pelletier (“Jared’), Kiowa Gordon (“Embry Call”), and Kirsten Prout (“Lucy”) will all be present for a The Twilight Saga: Eclipse autograph session at Comic-Con on Sunday, July 25th from 1:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. PST.

According to the press release, “Twilight Fans may bring any Twilight merchandise to be signed by these 3 talented actors.”

Details on the autograph session are available here.

Other Twilight series castmates reportedly appearing at Comic-Con for other films include Anna Kendrick (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World), Michael Sheen (Tron: Legacy), Cam Gigandet (Priest), and Billy Burke (Drive Angry 3D).

Looks like there’s a good reason for Twilight fans to head out to the San Diego Comic Con this year after all! If you need more information about SDCC, check out their official website here.
