‘Tis true, Ally creator David E. Kelley is the latest Hollywood bigwig to take a stab at resurrecting the Wonder Woman franchise. But unlike those who’ve ventured into the abyss before him (we’re looking at you, Joss Whedon), Kelley has secured a deal with Warner Bros. to bring the princess to the small screen. Which of course begs the question, which hot young starlet should fills the heroine’s red boots? PHOTOS: TV Celebrity Stunt Casting Since 2005 some semblance of a Wonder Woman redo has been rumored, with gals like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jessica Biel said to be in the running to play the Amazonian princess. But that was then—and that was a movie. TV is a different beast. And when we think of Wonder Woman popping up in our living rooms once a week, we can’t help but think of young, hot Hollywood—similar to the way Smallville started the Superman journey with a boyish Clark Kent. So for your viewing pleasure, we’ve compiled a list of the best W.W. candidates below, and want your feedback. Yes, some of these ladies are currently on other TV shows while others are movie stars, but we can dream, right? And if we missed one of your faves, let us know in the comments section. Who knows, maybe David E. Kelley will come to E! Online for some casting inspiration? Yeah, probably not. |

And while “Stretch Armstrong” screenwriter Nick Stoller (“Get Him To The Greek”) once compared the tone of the film to “Iron Man” (something Lautner questioned in a subsequent interview), there’s a good chance that the real superpower on display in the film could be Lautner’s mutant ability to attract audiences… to his abs. “[Lautner] will not wear a shirt,” Stoller joked to MTV News. “Yeah, he won’t wear a shirt through the whole thing.” Read more Here | Via/Twilightish |

To follow up the quirky, yet warm and fuzzy (because it’s full of guys in panda suits) video for “Drunk Girls,” LCD Soundsystem have enlisted some top-notch talent for their second video off This Is Happening, “Pow Pow.” James Murphy and company have David Ayer (“Training Day”) in the director’s chair, along with Oscar-nominated actress Anna Kendrick as their clip’s ingénue. MTV News was lucky enough to visit the Los Angeles set of the video recently, where we chatted with Kendrick about how she came to be a fan of the British electro-dance group, as well as the star of “Pow Pow.” “I didn’t have their new album,” Kendrick admitted. “But this song is really cool too. The first time [I heard it], I was expecting straight-up melody or something. … I can hear it every time we do a take, in my head. I’m kind of grooving. I can’t help but groove to this song.” Kendrick added that she’s a “pretty lame dancer,” but that the opportunity was too good to pass up. “It sort of came out of nowhere,” she said of getting the gig. “David [Ayer] came up with this idea and asked me to do it. I’ve never done anything like this at all, so I was really excited about it. It’s been really fun.” The “Up in the Air” actress said her character in the video is just a normal, unassuming girl, but she’s surrounded by enormous bodyguards, and the viewer isn’t really sure why. Kendrick added that Ayer encouraged her to turn to a Hollywood classic for inspiration. “He told me to watch ‘Sunset Boulevard,’ ” she said. “He used that as a reference as what’s going on underneath this girl.” |

“It’s really exciting to get to work with a star who’s just so, like, white hot right now . . . And he’s just this really nice kid, it’s such a funny thing to witness. And he’s smart. He’s got really good notes on the script. He’s just the real deal and, yeah, he happens to have an awesome six pack.” |

Hollywood Life says that 20 year old Kristen Stewart is now reportedly interested in playing a prostitute in Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s new film “Little America,” and if Kristen gets the role,we’ll see her like we’ve never seen her before. The new movie is being hailed as a cross between Black Dog and Speed. Kristen would play a 16 year old hooker who accidentally kills a gang member and then has to go on the run. She’ll get saved by an older truck driver, and they’ll bond along the way. It’s not yet known if she’ll develop a sexual relationshipwith the truck driver. Actor Josh Brolin is reportedly said to be interested in the truck driver role. However, his rep said he isn’t considering the role. If Kristen lands this gig,it’ll be her third provocative role to date. She played a stripper in “Welcome To The Rileys,” and a very sexual promiscuous hippie chick in her new “On The Road” movie as character Marylou Moriarty. Meanwhile, she is still due on the “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” movie set this November. |
