Robert Pattinson is back in his second period piece of the year May 12, alongside Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci as the dashing and dastardly heartbreaker Georges Duroy in “Bel Ami.” Although R-Patz still looks sexy clad in tops and tails in the celluloid adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s 1885 French novel, we’d prefer it if he was more Edward, less scoundrel, thank you very much.

The playboy of the Twilight series promises to continue making love to his fans around the world with his new film Bel Ami.

The film tells the story of Georges Duroy (played by Robert Pattinson), a soldier of the French army in Algeria who arrives in Paris without wanting to work in theslightest. Bel Ami (and will be dubbed by successive lovers) has not been blessed with the gift of intelligence or culture, but is physically attractive, sonaturally captures the attention of all women will get ahead.

Besides Pattinson, acting Christina Ricci and Uma Thurman, and will be releasedon 12 May in the U.S.
