You appeared as the man-candy in Hilary Duff’s “With Love” video. Why did you turn down the chance to star opposite Britney Spears in her “I Wanna Go” video?

That was really tough. I love Britney, and I would’ve loved the opportunity, but there were a couple of weird things about the part that didn’t make sense — like that milk-pouring scene? Hopefully I’ll get to work with Britney on something else. Back to the Hilary Duff video, that was one of those things where I was like, “This isn’t me. I’m not this good-looking guy who’s going to book this.” It’s funny, because when I don’t think I’m right for something, I end up booking it. It baffled me that I even got a callback for that.

InStyle: What was it like filming Bella and Edward’s wedding in Breaking Dawn?
Kellan: Well. it sucked for the girls because it kept raining. I was comfy in a suit, but they were in dresses and looked, well, vampirically pale because it was so cold! But it turned out beautifully. Kristen [Stewart] looked good in that dress and Rob [Pattinson], of course, was studly. The fans are going to melt and swoon.

The Twilight star appears alongside new Superman Henry Cavill and Mickey Rourke in the 3D action movie, and told Men’s Fitness magazine he gained 25lbs of muscle and stuck to a rigorous workout regime to get in shape for the role.

Kellan said: “I ate 16 eggs every morning. I got up to 220 pounds of solid muscle. We’d work out every day.”
The 26-year-old actor revealed he would compete with his co-stars as they worked out on set.

He explained: “Shooting one scene could take all day – and when that’s just driving a Humvee at five miles an hour, we had energy to burn. “We were doing push-ups on top of the Humvees. We were throwing wheels and rocks. We were timing each other, betting who can do the most push-ups, just to keep our sanity.
