FEARnet’s Seven ‘Harry Potter’ Horror Movie Moments-Death to Sparkles (Rob Mention)

Death to Sparkles

Before the Twilight series set hormones on fire across the world, Robert Pattinson played Cedric Digory, the dreamboat jock of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Naturally he had to die. Digory’s vivid and sudden death in The Goblet of Fire is the turning point for the entire series – a moment that makes the threat of the villains real and lets audiences know that no one is safe from here on out. Harry may save the day, but even he can’t save everyone.

Eric Odom talks impact of Twilight
Posted by twilightedluv • No Comments »

Erik Odom, “Peter” in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, is already feeling the impact of being cast in a Twilight series film. Just after the casting announcement, his Twitter follower count went up exponentially.

According to a new report from his hometown (which includes an interview with his farther), his professional life is improving quite a bit as well.

“A few days ago, Maury High graduate Erik Odom was delivering gourmet foods for an outfit called Yummy in the Hollywood Hills. A good day included a $50 tip,” the report states. “Odom reacted with surprise, tears and jubilation when he learned he got the part. The news came from a friend, who had heard it from the casting director . . . ‘I kept telling him that if he was getting callbacks, he was in the ballgame,; his dad said. ‘Maybe not on the team yet, but in the game.’ . . . ‘Suddenly, he’s getting offers from everywhere,’ his father said. ‘Whereas, there was nothing a few weeks ago.’”

MTV recently began an interesting discussion about whether the new additions to the Breaking Dawn cast would enjoy this very result, so it’s great to see that the answer (so far) is yes!

MTV “The Buried Life” Robert Pattinson
Posted by twilightedluv • No Comments »

First they asked out Taylor Swift, and now the cast of MTV’s The Buried Life has their sights set on another A-lister.

On Monday’s all-new episode, cast members Dave Lingwood, Ben Nemtin and Duncan and Jonnie Penn accept a dare from their fans to steal a lock of Robert Pattinson’s hair. “It seemed like the most impossible thing to do from the list our fans sent,” says Jonnie Penn. Now able to cross another item off their list of things to do before they die, Jonnie dishes to UsMagazine.com on the group’s R-Pattz game plan.

Twilight series Slip from Top 50

Twilight series slips from Top 50 as white books release

According to Daemon’s Books, the Twilight series has finally slipped from USA Today’s Top 50 Bestsellers List “[f]or the first time in over three years.”

The site reports: “At least one or more of the four books had been on the list since July 12, 2007 (170 consecutive weeks). Breaking Dawn fell from the top 50 to number 54, Twilight is at 172, New Moon is number 238, and Eclipse is 198. Meyer’s publicist tells USA Today that they expect to see a spike in book sales when the Eclipse DVD is released in December. Plus, Meyer is releasing The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide in April, and that is sure to put her back on the bestseller list.”

Meanwhile, the white-covered U.K. versions of the books which were announced this fall have been released, according to Twilight Lexicon’s research. So far, it looks like ATOM has released (as of October 14th), Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse with this format. Check them out here.

The article at Daemon’s contains information on the slip which is self-explanatory, of course. By now, the film series is three deep, so chances are most of those fans which are/were going to buy the books have done so by now. Also, there aren’t any new film tie-in versions to purchase (naturally, the last one came out early in the summer to coincide with The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’s release), so when one of those is introduced with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, that could also pick back up the sales speed.

Any other ideas as to why?

On a side note, it was definitely bound to happen at some point, and the fact that the entire Saga has not only made it on the Bestseller list but lingered there for years on end is extraordinary regardless of this current status.
